Woodlands Community Church is in the midst of much exciting change! God is bringing to our community our new Pastor and his wife, Steve and LeeAnn Vaughn. Steve was born and raised in Hereford, Texas. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Southern Nazarene University and is currently working on a Master’s in counseling. He has been married to LeeAnn for almost 29 years, and they have two grown children, one amazing son-in-law, and two of the best grandchildren on the planet! (Just ask them….)
Pastor Steve’s ministry philosophy is to be a visionary, a catalyst for God’s change, and a leader who directs people to the cross of grace and forgiveness; to provide hope to the hopeless, help to the hurting, and foundation to the shaken through the energy and strength of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Steve’s Favorite Verse: 1 Peter 3:15 "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have."
Pastor Steve’s Pastimes: UT fan, Houston Astros baseball, Phoenix Cardinals football, and the Phoenix Suns to boot! Watching Andy Griffith Shows, fixing old cars and trucks, working on fire chaplain and volunteer firefighter skills, water and snow skiing, and serving God to the best of his abilities!
We are looking forward to the Vaughns’ arrival in The Woodlands the week of June 18. Please feel free to join us as we welcome them ‘home’!
